If you ever plan for a short getaway to Ipoh, Malaysia with the intention to try all the good local food and feel the city vibes, then we would like to recommend you this hotel which located quite central at heart of Ipoh town, WEIL hotel.
Even if you are planning to explore the nature side of Ipoh, the famous caves are within reasonable drive time away. The hotel is situated exactly next to one of Ipoh prominent mall, Ipoh Parade and there is a connecting walkway between these two buildings. That would be a plus point for travelers looking for convenient shopping.There are few type of room category ranging from the normal superior, deluxe, premier, studio, executive (Brewster, Summer Bliss, Telegraph, and Miners concept), to presidential. We opted for the “Summer Bliss” executive room which located at the 12th floor with access to the executive lounge. For breakfast, we are allowed to have it either at the executive lounge or at the main breakfast area next to the downstairs lobby. It will be quieter at the lounge but more varieties at the lobby.

Actually the first impression we have with WEIL is that immediately think of W Hotel (brands of SPG) due to its overall branding and design concept. Even the staff name tag with the “W” looked really alike to W Hotel. Anyway, this is a lower range but still done great job in their interior design, concept and overall experience.

Remarks: Roof top infinity pool and connectivity to the shopping mall are great advantages of this hotel. Price difference of approximately MYR 100-150 for the upgrade to executive floor is worth to try.
