11 Days Itinerary for Norway Adventures – Day 3

Day 3 – Bergen > Fløibanen to Fløyen > Fish Market > Old Wharf Port

We started day 3 Bergen with a very important mission in the morning, to send out the postcards that we bought a day earlier from the souvenir shop. It was very convenient because there is already postbox located just outside the convenience shop, Rema 1000. (To see the location of Rema 1000, check out our day 1 post)

As usual, there will be rain, snow or hail from time to time in this town. Right before we walked out from the house, there was a light hail and it stopped after a short while. We went and get some information regarding the Mount Floyen (Fløyen) at the tourist center near the fish market.

11 Days Itinerary for Norway Adventures – Day 2

Day 2 – Bergen > Fish Market > Bryggen Old Wharf (World UNESCO heritage site) > Market Square

We started our second day with early waking and hearty breakfast. Even before we stepped out of the house, it was already drizzling outside, and we knew we were in the right city. There is a reason why it is known as the city of rain in Norway because literally it rains for average of 240 days per year, almost 65% of the time. Because we did our homework, so we were well prepared with the convenient pack rain coat. It is safe to have one with you even if it is during summer.

11 Days Itinerary for Norway Adventures – Day 1

Day 1 – BGO airport (Arrive) > Erik Place (AirBnB)

Our journey in Norway started in Bergen, the city of rain. We flew in from Stockholm and landed in Bergen quite late in the afternoon about 2pm. By the time we collected our luggage and walked out to take a cab, it was almost 3pm something, and the sky was already dark. In twilight months during the winter, the sun set earlier than other months. For our November visit, sunset in Bergen was about 4pm.
